Well..I think that a free message board is just that <font color=red>free</font>..we get what we <font color=red>pay</font> for..in this case I am very satisifed with HB for what I need it for..I cant fault him for going elsewhere if you have problems..The remark about no help from admin..well..i disagree..once again HE needed to remember this is FREE..Steven cannot make it what everyone wants it to be due to costs that we as posters dont help him out with..so no need to say the admin give little to no help..thats where i took offense..there has not been one thing i have asked for with HB I didnt get(within reason of course)..HB has made lots of progress since i came here several years ago..and they are continually making changes as best as they can..So if CYA wasnt happy and he left..fine..good luck where ever he goes..and with him being a "programmer"..then he will know the best way to settle this..is to make your own site and that way he can have no complaints.. [img]smile.gif[/img] He can make it how he wants..Now...my other gripe was the fact he removed his name..i guess i took it as childish behavior..im sorry but thats how i felt..he could have came back and posted from time to time..but no..he chose to remove himself from us..the people that thought he was one cool guy..we all enjoyed his comments..his pictures..we felt like he was part of our HB family..i reckon not.. [img]frown.gif[/img] ..some of us didnt know him at all but from here..and he will be missed..he should feel pretty good..looks like he has a demon cheerleader in his corner.. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

<font size="4" face="Tempus Sans ITC, Verdana, Arial">Blaze, while I agree with some things you say, I don't agree with all of them.

If your going to operate a system that brings in clientel like HB does then you're obligated to supply them with the help they require to maintain it. So if your unable to do it yourself then you recruite other people that can do it.

People are more than happy to volonteer their time to help out other people. I know this for a fact, as I give my time and support at Conforums.com for free.

For Cya to want to leave for reasons that he feels he doesn't get the support he needs says something about the service that is being run.

Sure it's free, but this is the business that is being run, and people need to feel like their support issues are being met. If they are not met there is pleanty of other "free" services out there that is more than happy to give them the support they require.

I myself left HB for a better "Free" service, but I retun back here from time to time, because I have made some wonderful friends like you and Chloe, Tee Ehn, and Summer.

So all I am saying is to be a little more easier on people that want to leave the system for a better system. Even though this is a "free" service.

Perhaps Wiz if you think of it as this..One person asks for one thing..when there are about 20,000 others that do not...why should you spend some extra money to make one person happy..when you have 20,000 others that dont care about the particular feature one person thinks they need..The issue of flood control i beleive to be important..How about i come over to your place and make 50 topics..flood you with hundreds of one line messages..and all you can do is ban me for it..bad luck..cause i can get another ip..come right back..and do it again if i so choose too..flood control gives us Mods a slight piece of mind on that not happening..i see it as a great feature..if you had to clean up one of FOAD's messes on here before..then maybe you'd know what I was referring too..it took me over an hour to fix my board back after he found a flaw in the system ..and flooded me with the same topic 50 times..it was a complete mess..whilst some people do get past the flood control feature..take demon for instance..there are times even she posts 10 times in a row without meaning too....so there are flaws with the flood control feature..I guess i truly dont see it as a reason to leave HB..but as i said before..im happy he found a better place..my debate wasnt about him leaving per say..it was about saying admin dosnt help people..when i know thats not true..they do all they can to help people..take alex for instance..he is enough to drive a person insane from his ramblings..yet Steven, Shatzy and Concorde all go the extra mile to please him..they do try to answer all his questions..give whatever assistance they can...if it were me..id have sent him off long ago..simply so i didnt have to deal with him..but they continue to be courtous and helpful..All i wanted to get across was..if you dont like it..go..find or create one better..but dont blame the owners because they simply wont change their site to suit you..dont you know about majority rules..sad as it may be..if it isnt beneficial to the entire site..why change it so one person is happy..if there had been more people complaining..im sure steven would have wanted to change what he can to keep the majority happier..Wiz im glad you like your site..im happy your helping them out..thats great..I wasnt at all impressed with it..I completely dislike popups..and there were popups there whan i looked in on it..so i prefer here...its all about choice..no harm in that is there? but i wont go to your forum and advertise my site either..I wont tear down your site on your site..thats just rude..
